Geneaology at the Moulin Kirk

North Perthshire Family History Group
We are a small Family History Group formed nearly 6 years ago. We have grown from the 32 interested people who attended our first meeting to nearly 100 members, researching their Family Histories both locally and worldwide.

Our main aims are: to provide a meeting place for all interested in Family History; to take part in project work relating to local Family History; to acquire source material relating to Moulin and adjoining Parishes.

A Grant from “Awards for All” allowed us to buy some much needed research equipment, together with microfilms of all the Old Parish Registers and Censuses for the North Perthshire area. A glance at our website www.npfhg.org will inform as to just how much research material we do have.

Up until now we have had nowhere to access our equipment, so we are very excited about moving into permanent premises in Moulin Kirk early in the New Year. Using access to Scotlandspeople website plus the 1881 census disc for the whole of the UK, one of our volunteers should be able to help visitors to Moulin Kirk who would like to discover their roots.
From early in 2006 there should be someone on duty most days or available by appointment.
